Devised as an alternative to a purely ‘functional surface’, Eruption examines
the role of light and shadow on the surfaces, as well as the dynamics of line. Insinuating movement
by both the contrasts of volume and the suggestion of a physical perception of lightness, the piece
explores the boundary of solid and void.
